~About the
Photographer~
Roger Costello hails from Sydney, Australia although his mother and
father were born in Ireland and Mexico respectively. Deciding
to make Australia their home, Roger was reared and educated in
Melbourne. Following graduation from high school, he served
his country during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from
the army and his graduation from college, Roger's career afforded
him the opportunity to travel overseas extensively. While
working in different countries, he took full advantage of the
beautiful sites surrounding him and honed his photography skills.
An avid sportsman, Roger
participated in both rugby union and rugby league in Australia.
Throughout the years, he has maintained his keen interest in rugby
by coaching first the women's and then the men's Pittsburgh rugby
teams. Although Roger's retired from coaching, he still stays
active in sports by playing cricket and refereeing rugby.
Throughout the years, Roger has
developed his photographic skills and broadened his subject matter
to include the following: landscapes, sports, flowers, architecture,
nature, and macro-photography. His work has been sold both
nationally and internationally with clients including: the
Enrico Biscotti Company, Sydney Tourism, Washington PA Tourism,
various advertising agencies, and local junior sports organizations.
He is also a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists.
